"Apex named Money magazine’s No. 1 place to live in USA!!!!! My oldest boy is currently in Germany doing a study abroad. And during this process we have been introduced to his host family and friends. It has been a wonderful adventure for my son and we would love to be a host family for someone traveling to the United States. We will welcome you to our home and family. As well, we offer any of the activities or trips we participate in to you. We are a family that enjoys being active, playing sports, soccer, basketball, bike riding, fishing, swimming, etc.. During the summer we enjoy going to our neighborhood pool with a lazy river and a water slide, includes year round access to a basketball court, tennis courts, and a clubhouse with a gym. We try to have dinner together most nights and especially like dining on our screened in porch where you can hear the birds chirping and see the occasional glow of fireflies. We just got a puppy, Portuguese Water Dog, she is hypoallergenic and does not cause allergies, she is a lot of fun! My kids play competitive soccer and if you are interested in playing I can help arrange it. Depending on the league and competitiveness, fees range from $300-$400 per month, 2-3 practices a week and a weekend game, for being on a soccer team. During the winter the kids play in a basketball league, 1 practice a week and 1 weekend game, team fees $120 per month. Weekly gymnastics class with instructors at a facility, $150 per month. Dance classes, once a week at a studio, $150 per month. We live in Apex, North Carolina part of Research Triangle: Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Durham, Duke UNC Chapel Hill and N.C. State. Apex, NC ranked #1 for best place to live in the United States by Money magazine, "APEX is the best place to live." Apex is only a few hours drive from the beaches with warm water and soft sand. I am a stay at home mom and if needed, will be able to help with school, classes, language, activities, and friends. I use to be a school teacher and can help with school work and learning English. If there is something you would like to do in North Carolina let me know and I will try to make it happen.
