I am a retired pre-school teacher who has decided to open my home and host international students learning English in America. I have been hosting students from many countries around the world for 13 years. I am a non-smoker and wish to entertain non-smokers only in my home, in order to provide a clean, quiet, smoke free environment during your stay in our beautiful city. I can also assist those who are learning English with any questions they may have while attending school and learning the language. My home is centrally located in the heart of San Diego. I live in a quiet area with two adjacent cul-de-sacs which keeps the area closed to through traffic. I am within a few minutes to most of the freeway connections in the city. My home is 7 minutes from downtown by car, and approximately 35 minutes by the bus and trolley. I live alone with visiting children and I have no pets. I am also within walking distance to the city bus stop, banks, shopping centers, fitness gyms, grocery stores, libraries, several restaurants, schools, fire department, parks, and local businesses. I enjoy cooking and prepare meals from several countries and many cuisines. I do not prepare nor purchase Halal foods, as these foods tend to be more expensive and the distance far to purchase them. The meats I serve is Turkey, Beef, Chicken, Seafood and occasionally Lamb. Each bedroom in my home consist of comfortable beds, desk and chair, dressers and closet space for storage, ceiling fans and lighting that is conductive for your studying needs. I have Wi-Fi, central heat and air, washer and dryer, and a maintained backyard and garden area to enjoy. When responding to my homestay please include your age, sex (my homestay is for boys only) and length of time you wish to be in the home. You will be welcomed and I will try and make your stay in San Diego a happy and memorable one! My fee at this time is only $850 because at this time I will not be preparing meals until my tendonitis has healed.
