Hello! We are a Christian couple who loves gardening, cooking, baking, walking, going to the beach, fishing, traveling, shopping, and playing card games. We are a loving, fun, happy, and energetic group. Presently a family member lives with us. We have a small, friendly, gentle dog who lives indoors most of the time. We speak only English. We have traveled to many places in the United States and also to China, Japan, South Korea, and Peru. We have hosted more than 100 international students since 1996. We live in Southern California near the beach, Disneyland, Los Angeles, Hollywood, and many other fun places. Cost: $1600 per month What we provide: -Parent assigned guardianship for any child under the age of 18 -Caring and welcoming environment where a student can study and advance in their knowledge of English and American culture -Airport transportation for arrival and departure -Private bedroom: bed, dresser, desk, chair, lighting, laundry basket, closet, full length mirrors, bedding, linens, complete set of bath towels -Other: Internet access, laundry privileges, air conditioning, small shared refrigerator, hair dryer -Transportation to and from school and some school related activities -Free street parking for those who drive their own cars -Breakfast and dinner Monday-Friday, weekends and all non-school days breakfast, lunch, dinner -No smoking permitted. -No overnight guests We are looking for respectful, honest, dedicated students. What we require: -Student to be respectful and caring toward each person in our home -Student to be responsible to launder own clothes and own bedding -Student to maintain and clean his/her bedroom and shared bathroom on a weekly basis. Vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies will be provided. -Rent is due and payable to the host in cash/US dollars at the commencement of each fiscal month.
