Hello! My name is Janice and I am a certified teacher with 20 years of teaching experience. I have spent most of my career teaching either French or English as a second language. In my life I have had the opportunity to learn several foreign languages (French, German, Korean, and Spanish). Now I would like to invite high school or university female students, or professional women to my home for private English lessons, touring and sightseeing, and a daily opportunity to mingle and practice your English communication skills. You can do all this while experiencing and enjoying life in Canada!
Please let me explain what is included in your monthly homestay fee. I will provide you with structured English lessons for 15 hours a week, airport pick-up and drop-off, a private or semi-private room, all meals, all transportation to and from events we can plan together once you get to Canada, all entrance fees for events that we plan together, and any materials you will need for your lessons. You are, of course, also free to plan some activities on your own.
Our home, which is just 40 minutes from the Capital city of Halifax, is surrounded by the beauty of nature. It is located just 7 minutes from a ski resort and we have a large in-ground pool in our backyard. So whether you choose to come in the winter or the summer, we can provide some exciting outdoor fun and relaxation. Our house is spacious yet warm and welcoming. Our two cats are both beautiful and friendly.
My daughter and I and our two cats welcome you to this wonderful opportunity to have personalized ESL lessons in a small group setting (maximum 4 students), tour and sight see, and meet Canadians your age. All this while you enjoy the Canadian experience!
