We are a young family who would love to host an international student in the garage apartment behind our home. I have instructed ESL English Composition at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) and language institutes in Edmond and Norman (University of Oklahoma) for a number of years. My husband and I have both traveled and lived abroad in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Lebanon, Turkey, Kenya, and several European countries during our collegiate years. We know the benefit of living with a family in order to learn the native language and understand your surrounding culture! Location: We are located in Downtown Oklahoam City which is 2 miles east of OCU (Oklahoma City University) and 2 miles west of OUHSC (Oklahoma University Heath Science Center). We are about a 15 minute drive from UCO (University of Central Oklahoma) and a 30 minute drive from OU (University of Oklahoma). Living Situation: We live in an historial neighborhood with large trees, sidewalks and beautiful old homes! It is a very safe nieghborhood and is 3 minutes away from downtown.................great restaurants! City bus picks up 3 blocks from our home. Our home is a 2500 square foot home with a fenced in backyard and deck built in 1919. Located in our backyard is a studio (1 bedroom) garage apartment that has been remodeled with a full kitchen and full bathroom. It is FULLY FURNISHED including a desk, lighting, ceiling fan with remote control, large closet, kitchen table, plates, cups, cooking utencils, pots, pans etc. Although you would have your own space, our desire is to be a support to you and include you into our family as much as you would like! Cost and what it includes: RENT: $650 per month • ALL BILLS PAID • Washer & Dryer • Wireless Internet • FULLY FURNISHED w/ all kitchen accessories (cooking supplies, dishes and utensils) I have picutres available as well!
