WE HAVE ROOM FOR AN EAST ASIAN FEMALE STUDENT FOR SEPTEMBER Hello to all friends around the world! We are a university educated, international couple who enjoys hosting students from all parts of the world. We are located close to Georgian college, about a fifteen minute walk or five minute bus ride. I am a high school teacher with an extensive background in teaching English as a Second Language, both in Canada and on an international level. As a certified and highly experienced teacher, I can not only help you learn about Canadian culture, but can help you improve your English skills as well! My wife has a background in science and education, and also works as a professional in the community. We both speak fluent English. I speak reasonable French, while my wife is fluent in Tagalog(Filipino). Our interests include: sports, music, movies, cooking, travelling, photography, and spending time outdoors. We have travelled to, or lived in, more than two dozen countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and Australasia. Our interests are so varied that we will almost certainly have something in common with you! We provide a safe and comfortable living environment. We have access to numerous high schools, Georgian College, and are also within a bus or train ride of Toronto. Additionally, we live within walking distance of major bus routes, which ensures that you will be able to get to major shopping malls, restaurants, the beach, and downtown Barrie on your own. Our rate includes all utilities, cable tv, bed, bed linens, and fresh towels. We also provide a wireless connection in our home. We also include include all meals and snacks. All groceries will be provided to you, breakfast is self-serve. Lunch usually consists of sandwiches, or anything else really you want to eat. For dinner, we enjoy cooking: Italian, Asian, European, Canadian, Mexican and a variety of other dishes. We also enjoy baking muffins and cookies! All of this is included for just 1000 Canadian dollars (approximately $800 U.S.) per month! This is a true homestay! You are not just renting a room, but rather becoming part of a family for the time you are in Canada. If you need help with homework, have questions about Canadian life, or are curious as to how to get tickets for sporting events, concerts or cultural events, we are here to assist you. We include you in our daily life activities, including:birthdays, Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving. It would be our pleasure to show you a bit of our city. You are also welcome to explore world famous Toronto and Niagara Falls on your own, as they are within short distances. The cities of Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City are also within a day's journey by bus. We are looking for students who want a comfortable, quiet, and secure home.
