Hello. This posting is on behalf of my new family who lives in Mpeketoni, Kenya. Mpeketoni is a small village in Lamu District. We are located about 3 1/2 hours north of Mombasa. Population is around 30,000. 95% of the people here are farmers who make their living off the land and sell in the local markets. Mpeketoni is roughly 15 mins from the Indian Ocean. The beach is a wonderful place to cool off when the weather is hot. We are a loving family who enjoy having visitors to come and stay with us. We are a Christian family who has been blessed with a nice home to host visitors from all over the world. We have a 5 bedroom house with a lot of space to walk around freely. We also have an office where you can go to study, read or check your email. We are native Kenyans who is fluent in Swahili and speak good English. My father is a Bishop over many churches throughout Kenya. The local church is next door to the house. During your stay with us, we will make sure you are fed three times a day and have a nice furnished room where you can relax and make yourself at home. Mama will ensure that your clothes are washed and that you have all that you need. Bishop will take you around to meet other locals and help you find things to do while you are visiting to keep you busy. Some people come to volunteer at schools, help at orphanages and visit people who are in the hospital. Our village is also a great place for those who would like to getaway from the big city and just relax away from your home. If you have any questions, please email me for more information.
