I am a professional language teacher (English and German) and I live in a a large house in the beautiful town of Darwen, which is a 40 minute train ride away from central Manchester. We have excellent transport links by train and bus to all the town and cities in Lancashire and beyond. Plenty to see and explore here while staying in comfort in one of our double rooms.I offer one to one English language lessons and can guarantee that with my expert guidance your English will improve dramatically. I can accommodate up to two students ages ranging from 14 years plus, either sharing a room (discount applies) or each occupying their own room. The price includes full board, private room and weekly laundry.There will be three meals including a continental breakfast, light lunch and evening dinner, all freshly prepared. I cater for vegetarians and vegans. As the main purpose of your stay with us would be to learn the English language, so If you wish, I can be your guide during your stay and also can spend time with you so you get the best experience from your stay with us. The rooms have double beds and all the facilities you need. I have seven years experience in hosting language students. We are a relaxed and welcoming family and we love to meet new people from all over the world. One to one lessons are available with me and the cost of those are £20 per hour.All materials and books are included. The lessons will be tailored to your learning needs and structured to get the most out of your learning with me. In case of younger students a weekly progress report can be send to the parents. There is plenty to do in the area as we have a state of the arts leisure center, an all year round ice arena, a library, theater which has drama groups , music school and of course all the fantastic nature walks which practically start at our door steps. A trip to the center of Manchester is also advisable where you can dive into into the many shops, go to the famous Trafford center or visit the Manchester United football grounds. There are also many museums, an art gallery and a fantastic library for you to explore. I can be your guide to many places such as Liverpool and the seaside town of Blackpool which has very famous ride. However, if you want to explore on your own whilst living in a friendly family environment then a stay with us is ideal.
