Welcome to the U.S.A. ! You will have a very involved family where encouraging English always comes first. I have hosted many students from many different countries/cultures. Your new home will be located on public transportation lines. You will have access to both Blue and Orange lines. You will have your own private bath, private area of the house which is set up like a studio apartment, however this area is part of the main living area. I have been married for 30 years, we have 5 children (34,26,24,19&17), 2 are still living home, 1-in college and 1- in his last year of H.S. My husband is Italian and used to own a restaurant- that means big dinner meals (of course MY cooking is better than his). We have high speed Wi-Fi, within 5 minutes to banks, grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies etc.
