We currently have a room available !!! We are located about 4 kms from downtown Halifax in a residential neighbourhood served by grocery, drug, hardware stores, medical facilities, swimming pools, library, gyms, etc. all within 5 minutes walk. We have been hosting international students for over 5 years now and have hosted students and workers from South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Israel, China, etc. We are 2 minutes walk from a bus stop served by 5 bus routes to the downtown/university area including an Express bus during peak travel times...We take 3 students of any gender 19 or over...the rooms are well appointed and there is high speed wireless....we include any guests in all family activities (our children live within 5 minutes walk and have blessed us with 5 grandchildren) and serve a variety of ethnic food (all meals are included and you are welcome to cook, we have 2 kitchens)...we presently have 1 room available. We also endeavour to show our guests as much of the areas attractions as possible making weekend trips to PEI, Cape Breton and New Brunswick as often as possible.....We welcome conversation and can offer help with your English and encourage it's use in our (and your) home...Jim will also give free informal guitar lessons if desired....everyone that has lived here has left as a friend... *smoking is allowed outside only, no smoking in the house*
