We are located in West Seattle, one of Seattle's most coveted neighborhoods. Our home is within walking distance to public parks, supermarkets, a public library, a movie theater, many restaurants and coffee shops. With a short bus ride, you can be at Alki Beach, Lincoln Park, or a variety of shopping areas. We have easy access to Seattle's Stadium District (Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Sounders and concerts). The stadiums are adjacent to the historic Pioneer Square and the Seattle Chinatown/International Districts.
We have 3 student rooms. Each room is a private bedroom with a desk and chair, reading lamp, dresser and closet. We provide all the bedding (sheet, pillows, blankets, etc.) as well as bath towels. The students share a 3/4 bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower), a common area for reading and relaxing. A refrigerator and microwave are also available for the students' use. Students can use our clothes washer and dryer and have access to free high-speed broadband wifi. Dinners are prepared most nights and normally eaten as a family. Students normally make their own breakfasts. Lunches can be made from any leftovers or from ingredients that are available.
We expect students to keep their bedrooms and the shared common room and bathroom clean. Students must respect each other's privacy and belongings. We expect students to help around the house especially setting and clearing the table before and after meals, washing dishes, and keeping the kitchen clean. Students are allowed to use the kitchen but must clean up afterwards.
Our home is conveniently located to attend many schools in the Seattle area. Leaving the house at 08:00, our home is 23-minutes to South Seattle College. With bus and light rail connections through Downtown Seattle, you can reach Seattle Central College (40 minutes to school), Seattle University (38 min), and many other schools located in Downtown Seattle. Further away by bus/light rail are the University of Washington (50 min) and North Seattle College (60 min).
