My name is Marlene Leach and I live with my husband Ray Leach. We live in a big house, which has three spare rooms, one of which is a small single room, but nice and cosy. Therefore we can host about 3 students at a time. We host all the year round. In the winter we welcome long-term students, who attend a local Sixth Form college and the ages are usually about 16 - 17 years. During the summer we have students who stay for a shorter period, from 2 to 4 weeks. They join my English language and Activity programme, which involves daily English tuition and afternoon activities, sometimes full day tours to London, Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace, and other towns and villages in the vicinity. Birmingham is the second largest city in England, situated in the Midlands and it is also called the heart of England. There is a lot to do and to see in Birmingham. It's got a great history since it used to be an industrial town - plenty of interesting museums around. Accommodation is superb in our house since it is spacious and very welcoming. We also live next to a small and friendly town called Sutton Coldfield, and at the same time we are partly in the country side - a lot of greenbelt areas around, and yet only within a 30-minute bus ride from the busy city of Birmingham. We welcome students who wish to come and feel at home, and at the same time have an amazing experience of a new culture, new country and meeting new friends. If you wish to call us directly our telephone number is: 00 44 121 378 2272 or mobile + 44 7984 924 622 or send an e-mail to: info@trilingua.co.uk Last but not least both Ray and myself are good cooks - I love cooking international dishes, so our cuisine is quite varied. Oh, and as regards pets, we have two cute little tortoises. We hope that, having read something about us and the area, you may wish to contact us. I will be more than happy to answer any questions and send photos. Best Wishes! Marlene and Ray.
