The Mt Kenya NESS homestay is a non-alcoholic homestay. It is owned by NESS (Kenya) Ltd a company registered in Kenya in 2009. It is registered by the Kenya Tourist authority as a Homestay. It is managed by the owners with the wife, Mrs. Mucuthi, as the manager. While all bookings are done in advance we encourage groups; “walk in” visitors are discouraged. The home is situated off Nanyuki-Meru road right at the foot of the Mount Kenya (hence the name) and is right on the Equator. Nanyuki is the only place in African where you can see snow while on the Equator. Indeed for those who intend to climb Mt Kenya the Mt Kenya homestay it is only 30 minutes to the Sirimon starting point base. It is on five acres of pasture where the family keeps cattle. Kenyans are hospitable people and have been voted as the most happy Nation in Africa. That is why we are encouraging you to come and share this happy experience with us at Mt Kenya NESS homestay. You will be glad you did. Activities Residents can participate in the milking, feeding of the stock, or making of homemade dairy meal which is made at the farm.
