Homestay in Edinburgh — FAQ
How do I find a host family in Edinburgh?
Browse live host family listings for Edinburgh on Homestay Finder, or post a free guest request so local hosts can reach out about available rooms.
Who is an Edinburgh homestay good for?
Students at the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Napier, or Edinburgh School of English, plus interns and visitors who prefer a private room with a local family over a hostel or short-term rental.
What should I ask an Edinburgh host?
Ask about bus routes to your school, meals, laundry, and whether the room covers your full dates—festival weeks and start-of-term can be busy. Confirm anything unclear in the ad before you travel.
